What Time Is It?

Romans 13:11-14

What time is it? Here we have a question for the ages. Some would say "It's time to start. It's time to stop. It's time to eat or it's time to sleep. Some might answer that's it's 8:30 or 10:45 or that's am or pm. Some might respond Eastern Standard or Central Daylight. There could be many answers to this age old question asked by the Apostle Paul. What time is it? It's God's question, therefore we need God's answer. What time it is with regards to the future of missions ? It's time for REVIVAL !!! If there's no REVIVAL - There may be no future for missions. Revival comes when the saints of God practice the preaching of the Word of God in their daily lives.

1. IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP! Verse 11
1. Jesus is coming - Purify yourself; I John 3:2-3
1. Love your neighbor - vs 9-10 (Obey the commandments). I John 3:2-3
2. Get up and get going - It's daylight. Satan works in the night. The beauty of dawn.
3. The time is short - vs 11 (Two minute warning ! Death or Rapture). James 4:13-14
2. IT'S TIME TO WEAR THE ARMOR! Verse 12
1. We're in a war - BE ON GUARD
   Recent stats: 22% pastors 24% wives fall(immorality)(discouragement)(Burn-out/Rust-out).
1. The night is far spent - We're in the 'Last Days
2. The day is at hand - Jesus is coming soon.
3. Cast off the works of darkness - verse 13.
1. Rioting (Disorderly sensual conduct) & drunkenness
2. Chambering (Immorality) & wantonness (mental lust - pornography)
3. Strife (Quarreling) & envying (jealousy)
4. Put on the Armour of LIGHT - Ephesians 6:14-17
1. Belt of Truth; John 14:6 I am the TRUTH
2. Righteousness; 1Cor 1:30 Christ Jesus who of God is made Righteousness
3. Gospel of Peace; Eph 2:14 Christ is our PEACE
4. Shield of faith; Habakkuk 2:4 The just shall live by his FAITH
   Gal 2:20 I live by the FAITH of the Son of God
5. Salvation; Psa 62:2 He only...is my SALVATION
6. Sword; John 1:1,14 The WORD was made flesh
   JESUS IS THE ARMOUR OF LIGHT - PUT ON JESUS
   2 Cor 3:2-3 We are epistles...read of all men.
3. IT'S TIME TO WALK HONESTLY! Verse 13
1. We're to be holy - 1 Peter 1:16 Be ye holy for I am holy
   (Are you growing up to resemble your father?)
1. Walk - Live openly pure lives
2. Honestly - Decently & Becomingly Eph 5:3 As becometh saints
3. As in the Day - openly for all to see (You never know who's watching)
   Airport and Restaurant (Above ALL others - God is watching !!!)
4. IT'S TIME TO WITNESS FOR JESUS! Verse 14
1. We're to preach the gospel - Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ
1. Get dressed up in Christ
2. Imitate his example & principles Eph 5:1 Be ye...followers of God, as dear children
   Children imitate their parents - we must imitate our FATHERt
3. Heb 4:15 without sin 7:26 holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners
   WV 1st grade girl gave up her socks and shoes.
5. IT'S TIME TO WATCH OUT FOR THE DEVIL! Verse 14
1. We must control self - 1 Cor 9:27 I keep under my body...lest I become a castaway
1. Make not provision - don't provide for opportunities to be tempted
2. For the flesh - our old sinful nature
3. Lusts - verse 13 Job 31:7
   If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart hath walked after mine eyes.
   Eph 5:15-16 Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

The Lord is looking
for men and women today
who are up and at it
dressed for the day
ready for battle
equipped to serve
ready to go
wherever He should call.
