1Co 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolish-ness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
I have seen people scoff and laugh at preaching in churches, street preaching, handing out tracts, witnessing, praying with others when they have needs. I can understand the worlds rejection and laughter to what they deem to be foolish, but I cannot understand those that say they are believers and they do the same thing. Maybe they need to follow II Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
Fall is upon us and we are in the State of Maine once again. We have seen some good results with Evangelist Clarence Haflin and his family teaming up with us for 5 weeks of meetings, and door knocking. We saw 7 teens come to Christ during a week of meetings and a number of others making decisions to serve the Lord, and making things right with God. We saw others get their eternal security settled. Praise The Lord!
Many others have made decisions as well as being saved as a result of door knocking and preaching. God has truly blessed our efforts to preach and reach souls for Christ this fall.
Since July 1st I have been in 16 churches holding revival meetings, and one-day meetings. I have preached 70 times. What a privilege it is to serve God.
Where has time gone, I remember when our son Kail was born, I could hold him with one hand. He just turned 18 and this is his last year of school. Kail is our last one at home. Our two daughters are married and they have given us 12 grandchildren. Thirty-seven years with children in our home. What a blessing it has been.

- Christians challenged to serve as pastors, teachers, evangel-ists, missionaries

- God's providing hand

- Good response in meetings
- Another Church took us on for support
- Safety while traveling
